Marketing attribution

Which campaigns produced which orders

Profitario records the marketing touchpoints of every order and matches them to the campaigns, ad sets and ads synced from your ad accounts. Spend and revenue are attributed at read time, so figures reflect restated spend and late journey data.

What you get

Touchpoints per order

Each order gets one row per marketing visit: the first visit from the Shopify customer journey, the last visit from the landing page, and, with the optional web pixel, every click-time URL at ad level.

Campaign and ad matching

UTM parameters, click ids such as gclid, fbclid and ttclid, and ad-id tags are matched against the synced campaigns, ad sets and ads. An ad-level match resolves the ad set, campaign and account as well.

Attributed spend and revenue

Spend is drawn from the matched campaign on the order day and divided among the orders that matched it. Attributed revenue and ROAS are shown per platform, account and campaign, and unmatched spend stays visible as unattributed.

First-touch and last-touch models

Switch the model in the dashboard or the ad spend report and every revenue and ROAS figure on the page updates. Traffic types (paid, organic, direct, email, referral) show the channel mix behind the totals.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Connect Shopify

Landing page, referrer and customer journey data are imported with each order and parsed into touchpoints.

  2. Step 2

    Connect your ad accounts

Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Bing and other platforms sync daily spend and the campaigns, ad sets and ads used for matching. Enable the web pixel for full click URLs.

  3. Step 3

    Read attributed results

Each order carries its matched campaign and its share of the spend for that day. Revenue, spend and ROAS roll up per campaign, account and platform under the selected model.
