Data Discrepancies with Shopify
Updated June 2, 2026
It is completely normal for Profitario and Shopify to show different totals. To understand why in full, read Why Do My Numbers Differ from Shopify?. To fix a specific mismatch quickly, find what you are seeing in the table below.
Quick Diagnosis#
| What you're seeing | Most likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Numbers match over time, but not on a single day | Time zone or refund timing moved orders to a different day | Use the same dates and time zone, then check your refund-timing setting (Refund Settings Guide) |
| Revenue is lower than Shopify everywhere | Tax is taken out of revenue, or you are comparing sales to profit | Compare Shopify's sales to Profitario's Revenue, then check Tax vat settings |
| Fewer orders than Shopify | Some orders are hidden or left out by your settings | Check Status group settings and Hide Orders from Your Reports (Prefilters) |
| A recent order has not appeared | It is still syncing, or a filter is hiding it | Wait a few minutes; if it is still missing, see Missing orders |
| One specific value looks wrong | Needs a closer look | See Still Not Matching? below |
Still Not Matching?#
If a number is still wrong after the steps above (for example, an order is missing completely or a value is clearly off), message support in the in-app chat. Include the order number and the date range you are comparing so the team can check it for you.
